Real-time off-shore
monitoring
Offshore crude oil and gas production is mostly done on FPSOs (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) vessels and oil rigs. The challenge with these vessels is to know when off-loading is done and what has been exported. A lot of times these vessels are located off-shore and monitoring of their export valves is not done in real-time or without the presence of government agencies. Even when there is a government representative on board there is no way to check on what is being reported. Losses that can occur when these systems are unchecked can be enormous.
MECTS together with its technology partners has a solution that monitors all valves aboard these platforms in real-time. By deploying intrinsically safe hardware in these explosive environments. MECTS can monitor these valves in real-time and send data to monitoring stations.
Events like opening, closing and tampering of valves
are monitored in real-time and relayed to the appropriate agencies and stakeholders using satellite technology.
